This Hail was from Norman Oklahoma , April 2021 very destructive hail damage . Customer came to me asked if I could fix this damage without cutting the roof panel off and repaint. It was non insurance the vehicle was totaled . I was not sure that I could get it back to retail condition. Challenge accepted !!
The result on the roof came out pretty well , some of the baseball size shots really stretched the metal . The hail also was jagged in which created dents inside of the larger dent. I used very sharp steel tips ( metal shrinking technic ) to gather the stretched metal and level the damage area. Note : This vehicle took me three weeks to get to 85% – 95% repair.

Heavy jagged hail bombs!
This picture of the roof shows how deep the hail impacts are. The darker the shadows are, shows how deep the damage is, because the light cannot travel into the hole. The lines on the light board reveal the distorted metal that the force of impact (wind driven) caused. Surrounding metal needs to be repaired also. this type of damage is referred to as oversize damage.
2018 Sonata the hail removal came out fantastic. I was able to remove all damage without sending any of to the body shop, retaining the original OEM paint. Keeping the value of the vehicle intact. Happy customer!
